The ANWB Safe Driving App helps you gain insight into your driving behavior. This app is part of the ANWB Safe Driving Car Insurance. Every 10 days, you'll receive feedback on your driving style and helpful tips to improve it. Depending on how safely you drive, you'll receive a driving score between 0 and 100. Your driving score determines the amount of the additional discount on your premium. This can be up to 30%. This discount, in addition to your no-claims discount, will be settled with you at the end of each quarter.

I just got the app and it's been quite bad. The app consumed 7.5% of my battery in the 5 hours it's been installed, it complains if the phone is on battery saver, and it will continue to track even if not in the car as there's a persistent notification that just won't go away. I've set it to sleep when not in use, but it seems it's always on. If you log out it also doesn't like it. So, it takes your phone hostage. Also creating an account was pretty painful.

Terrible app. Generally I like the idea that save driving is being rewarded. This app however is really terrible. It drains the battery, I have a notification that I cannot delete, so I have to block all notifications from the app. It registers trips that were never made. Sometimes doesn't register the beacon... Will change the insurance as soon as I can. Also it tracks whether I use my phone or not. What if my front seat passenger uses the phone?... Dissatisfied

Saint K. Is spot on. Every time app is opened it complains that no beacon is found. It will find it when connecting it, but after exiting and entering the app, it will just repeat the same message. The app has (for me) maximum possible permissions set to always, unrestricted battery usage and no limit on data usage. Not sure what else i can do, advice on this matter would be appreciated instead of only messaging me that beacon has not been connected for too long (or something similar).
