About this app

🦊 Take control of your internet with the Firefox browser — fast, private and fully on your side.

Whether you're after a private browser, an incognito browser, or just one that doesn’t creep on your data, Firefox keeps your browsing simple, safe and fast — no strings attached.

Get the browser that’s backed by a not-for-profit and trusted by millions worldwide. You’re in good company.

🛡️ Privacy-first, always:
• Tracker blocking by default: Social media trackers, cookies that follow you, cryptominers, and more? Blocked before they load.
• Private tabs that stay private: Close the tab, it’s gone. No history saved.
• Lock private tabs: Face ID, fingerprint, or PIN required to reopen.
• Custom search: Set your preferred private search engine.
• Add ad blockers: Choose your go-to extensions to block ads and popups.
• Use Firefox as your private browser or incognito browser: Built-in features protect your privacy from the start.

🧠 Smart tab control:
• Open as many tabs as you want: Find them easily in thumbnail or list view.
• Sync tabs: Pick up where you left off across mobile and desktop.

🔐 Password help:
• Save and sync passwords securely across devices.
• Suggests strong passwords for new log-ins.

⚡ Speed without spying:
• Fast browsing, no tracking: Firefox blocks trackers that slow you down.

🔍 Search, your way:
• Move the search bar to suit your hands.
• See suggestions, search history, and results from other devices.
• Search the web right from your home screen.
• Private search options: Choose your private search engine and use it across private browser mode or incognito mode.

🎨 Make it yours:
• Extensions, themes, privacy tweaks: Customise the way you browse.

🌙 Dark mode:
• Easier on your eyes and your battery.

📺 Video, your way:
• Watch in picture-in-picture or background mode: Total control.

📤 Share with ease:
• Share links in just a few taps: Works from any tab, private or not.

🧡 Billionaire-free for 20+ years:
The Firefox browser was created in 2004 by Mozilla as a faster, more private browser with more customisable features than other web browsers. Today, we're still not-for-profit, still not owned by any billionaires, and still working to make the internet — and the time you spend on it — better. it's basically the only flavour of browser out there that can compete in the ever growing collection of Chromium clones. Unfortunately, after years of using Firefox, the recurring issue of it simply failing to load pages, even after a device reboot, still happens. The only fix is to clear all the browser storage, which is basically reinstalling it. It's becoming more and more frustrating by the day.

Dear Firefox devs, long time user here (>10 years). I love your browser, and I will always use it over Chrome, but a major bug has appeared in the Android version- 'open in app' does not work consistently. I can fix it by force closing and reopening the browser. It's not a minor gripe, sometimes we lose the progress in the browser when force closing (e.g., payments). My rating will change to 5 stars the moment it's fixed but this is urgent!

The best browser I've used so far. Like the desktop version the interface is intuitive; buttons and functions are were you would expect them to be. Edit. Not so intuitive after a massive update which changes how tabs and bookmarks work. Edit 2 After a few years I finally almost got used to the previous update but yet again there was a massive update which made things even worse. Also some links for opening other apps like my Bank app does not work most of the time. This browser is now useless.
