App is great - fees leave you wishing you didn't use it. It was labor day and I needed a car, but car rental companies had no inventory, so I gave turo a try. It was easy to sort cars by type and price. I chose a renter that had a storefront business, and they were great! My mistake was checking out without looking closely at the end price, because the end price was 40% more because of the fees! If you use turo and see companies using their platform, check if they have a website. Book direct!

The app is okay but the first host's car had transmission issues 10 minutes from lot and almost got me killed in a 1+mile tunnel. Lastest reviewer mentioned the same issue so I assumed it was fixed. Unsafe to drive and the host told me the little wrench symbol on the dash is normal for all Nissans. He didn't even care. Also had to fight Turo for a full refund. I chose them to save a few dollars but it turned into a nightmare. I was 8 hours late to my destination. Car reported to BPD and DOT.

I had a horrible experience with turo. I had booked a car about a month an advance only to have it canceled less than a week before it was supposed to be dropped off. booked another car only to have it canceled 20 minutes before it was supposed to be dropped off. customer service was absolutely no help in trying to help or be reimbursed for the 2 bookings. I will be deleting my account and never using turo again. horrible experience, I would rate it 0/5 if I could.
