I've been using SumUp for over a year and it has been an easy/affordable way to take card payments for my small business. However, once I had issues logging in, it took me almost a month to resolve. The chat bot takes you in circles and contacting them via email is equally frustrating: I had to repeat my problem over and over just to be told "after logging in click a,b,c". There is no customer service number. No real people to speak to.

Has to be the worst customer service I have ever experienced. it took 3 days to contact someone about buying POS hardware. After that just hope and pray everything works because if you have any kind of issue the so called AI chat will have no idea (every time) what your issue is and therefore unable to contact a person. when you do finally get someone it might get fixed, they might just close the chat because you didn't reply within 1 min... you never know

The most frustrating useless app. I mean it's minimal and works okay, but they do charge a fortune for the privilege and then when you want to do your taxes you can't use any of it! No search bar, no filter, no anything that's actually remotely useful. Like I don't understand how in 2025 a banking app doesn't have these basic functions, let alone actual accounting functions. I have to physically scroll through the years to find one expense that I had 2 years ago?? Are you actually serious?!!?
